A case of pigmented villonodular synovitis of localized variety. This patient had vague pain in the knee associated with swelling. MRI revealed a single swelling arising from the synovial membrane. Arthroscopic removal by shaver would have caused spillage of the tumour tissue and led to future recurrence. The patient agreed for mini-open surgical removal. He is free from any recurrence.
